About the Author

Kim Rekowski is a dedicated elementary teacher, children’s book author, and illustrator who is passionate about helping children build confidence, resilience, and a positive mindset.

Inspired by her experiences in the classroom, Kim created Gritty the Goat, a lovable character who helps children discover what it means to have grit — the courage to keep trying, even when things get difficult.

Kim’s books are designed to be fun, engaging, and meaningful for children, while providing parents and teachers with opportunities to talk about important life lessons.

Through Gritty and his friends, young readers learn about grit, perseverance, friendship, healthy habits, confidence, kindness, and having a positive mindset.
